The British painter William Howard Yorke. Born in St.
John's in 1847. At the age of Nine years he immigrated to Liverpool with
his father William G. Yorke, a well know sip portraitist. His father was
also his painting teacher. In 1871 he took over his father business and
start to be One of the best and famous artists of the Art School in
Liverpool. The painter Yorke died in Liverpool, England in 1921. |
