Short biography of the American Hawaiian painter John Chin Young.
The American Hawaiian painter John Chin Young. Born in
Honolulu, Hawaii in 1909. At the young age of Eight he start to painting
influenced by Chinese calligraphy. The first and only lessons he had in
Honolulu at the President William McKinley High School. Many of his self
thought paintings and Zen like depictions can be see at the John Young
Museum and Honolulu Academy of Arts. The Painter Young died in 1997.
