The Chinese painter Xugu born in the Anhui
province, China, 1824. Also know as Hiu Kou or Hsu Ku. After he lived and
worked in Guangling, Jiang province. A Qing dynasty Chinese painter. First
he stayed in the army as an official, then he became a monk and later he
earned the money for living to sold his Art works and paintings in
Suzhou and Shanghai. He became a great and well know famous painter and
was one of the founders of the School in Shanghai. His famous style you
see in the prose, portrait and poetry paintings. The Chinese painter
Xugu died in 1896.
