Short biography of the Chinese painter Xu Beihong. |
The Chinese painter Xu Beihong born in Yixing, Jiangsu, 1895. A Chinese modern painter, who is known for his specially Art works from birds and horses. He started studying under his father Xu Dazhang on the early age at six. He moved in 1915 to Shanghai and in 1917 to Tokyo to study art works. After he went back to China and he became a teacher at the University's Art school in Peking. He studied drawings and oil paintings in Paris, 1919 and traveled around the West of Europe. The Chinese painter returned back to China in 1927. During the 2nd World war Xu went to Southeast Asia to show his Art works. He became the president in 1949 of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China. The great Chinese painter Xu Beihong died in 1953. |
