The Chinese scroll painter Xia Gui. We don't know where and when he born but this Song Dynasty painter was active ca. 1195 - 1230. We know he was in the Imperial Academy for painting in Hangzhou. Xia Gui was a very famous Chinese Master of Landscape paintings.
