The Spanish Jesuit missionary painter Francis Xavier born in Javier ( Xavero
), Navarre, near Pamplona, Spain in 1506. He went to Paris in 1528 to
studied at the University there. He met there Ignatius Loyola. Together
with him and five others they became the group 'Society of Jesus' .
Xavier left France in 1536 and traveled to Italy, he stayed in Venice
and Rome. After that Francis Xavier made many journeys. He visited Goa,
India, Indies, Malacca and Japan. In 1552 Xavier died.
