The English Pre Raphaelite painter John William
Waterhouse born in Rome, Italy, 1849. At the early age of five, the family
moved to England, South Kensington. The first lessons he had from his father
and after he entered in 1870 the Royal Academy. He was inspired by the
painters Frederic Leighton en Sir Lawrence Alma Tadema. Waterhouse had the
status of a full excepted Academician in 1895. The Royal Academy Council,
St. Johns Wood Art Club and School as example. The British Pre Raphaelite
painter John William Waterhouse died in London, England, 1917. |
