The Dutch genre painter Johannes Vermeer born in Delft, the Netherlands, 1632. Also know as Jan Vermeer. We probably believed he studied in his born town Delft under the teachers Leonaert Bramer and Carel Fabritius. Vermeer went into the Guild of Saint Luke in 1653 and was several times the head of the group. The Dutch painter died in delft, 1675. |
