The French Postimpressionist painter Georges Seurat.
Born in Paris, France in 1859. His first study was with Justin Lequien.
In 1878 he went to the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. In 1883 he had his
own painting studio. The painter became friends with Paul Signac in
Paris. In 1884 he and some other painters formed the group of the
Society des Artistes In dependants. The French painter died in Paris,
France in 1891. |
