The English portrait painter Sir Joshua Reynolds. Born
in Plympton in 1723. Great English painter who specializing in portrait
paintings. In 1740 he was interested in the paintings of portrait
painter Thomas Hudson. After that in 1749 he sailed to the Mediterranean
with his friend Augustus Keppel. Spent 2 years in Italy where he study
at the Old Masters school in 1752. He was the dominant English
portraitist painter together with Thomas Gainsborough. The painter
Reynolds died in Leicester Fields, London in England, 1792. |
