The Flemish and Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens.
Born in Antwerp, Belgium in 1577. He brought up there . On the age of
14, he started to study paintings. His teacher were Adam van Noort,
Tobias Verhaecht and Otho Venius. He became a Master of the Lukas Guild
in 1598. The Flemish painter went to Italy in 1600. Worked in Florence
and Rome. In 1608 returned to Antwerp as a well know painter. A great
court painter till 1622. After that Rubens travelled a lot. Peter Paul
Rubens also called often the Prince of Baroque painters died in 1640. |
