Short biography of the American Romantic Painter John Quidor.

The American Romantic Painter John Quidor. Born in New Jersey, 1801. The American painter moved in 1826 to New York and studied there under his teachers Henry Inman and John Wesley. After that he stayed in Illinois for years. He went back to New York in 1851. The American painter died in abject poverty in 1881.
