Born at Charlotte Amalie on the US Virgin Islands. His full name is Jacob Abraham Camille Pissarro.
At the age of 12 he went to Paris. He travelled and worked together with
Anton Melbye, a Danish painter. He studied at various academies sin
Paris. After he was the mentor of Edgar Degas, Paul Cézanne and Paul Gauguin. Pissarro died on 13 November, 1903 in
Paris, France. |
