The female Russian painter Anna Ostroumova Lebedeva.
Born in St. Petersburg in 1871. Studied at Stieglitz School of Technical Drawing
between 1889 and 1892 and then at the Academy of Arts. Had also lesson
from Ilya Repin and she worked at the studio in Paris of the American
painter James Whistler. She stayed a few years in Italy and travelled to
Holland, France, Spain and Belgium. At the WO II she stayed in
Leningrad, Russia where she died in 1955. |
