The Polish Genre painter Alexander Orlowski. Born in
Warsaw, Poland. Start in 1793 at the studio of J.P. Norblin and
Boccarelli, the court painter. He moved to Lithuania in 1802 and after
went to St. Petersburg where he stayed all his life. He travelled a lot
in Russia and made many battle and Genre paintings. They called him Alexander Osipovich
Orlowski in Russia. The Russian painter died in 1832 in St. Petersburg,
Russia. |
