The Dutch portrait painter Thomas de Keyser born in Amsterdam, 1596. His father Hendrick de Keyser (1565-1621) was his teacher in the Art education. Probably he had also lessons from Cornelis de Voort, Pickenoy and Aert Pietersz. He was the leading portraitist painter before the famous Dutch painter Rembrandt. Together with Rembrandt and Frans Hals they were the famous and popular painters of the Dutch 17th painting century. The Dutch painter Thomas de Keyser died in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 1667
