Short biography of The Swiss Neoclassical painter Angelica Kauffmann.

The The Swiss Neoclassical painter Angelica Kauffmann born in Graubünden, Switzerland, 1741. She lived with her family in Italy from 1742 till 1757. Traveling between Venice, Florence, Naples and Milan. On the early age of 12 she helped her father with portraits and Frescoes. They went in 1957 to Austria. Angelica Kauffmann moved back to Florence in 1758. She visited Rome in 1762 and she became for the St. Luke Academy a member. She went to England in 1766 and lived in London till 1781. She was admitted to the Royal Academy as the first woman. In 1781 she moved back to Italy. Worked and lived in Rome from 1781 till 1807. In Rome she had there a famous studio and workshop. The Swiss Neoclassical painter Angelica Kauffmann died in Rome, Italy, 1807.
