The Dutch portrait painter Cornelius Johnson aka
Cornelis Johnson van Ceulen born in London, England, 1593. He had
probably his first educations and Art lessons in the Netherlands before
he opened his own workshop in London, 1618. Johnson went back in 1643 to
Middelburg, Holland. After he lived from 1646 till 1652 in Amsterdam,
and at last he settled in Utrecht. The Baroque painter was the most
famous and important portraitist of the seventeenth century. The Dutch
painter died in Utrecht, Netherlands, 1661.
