The English Pre Raphaelite painter William Holman Hunt born in 1827, London, England. He entered in 1844 the Royal Academy. On this school he met his best friend John Everett Millais and another painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Together with them and other painters they started the Pre Raphaelite Brotherhood Group. The group was supported by John Ruskin. Around 1860 he traveled a few times to the Palestine to studied and paint biblical subjects. Hunt also painted sagas and English Myths. The themes he took from Keats and Shakespeare. The English painter worked in Florence from 1866 till 1868. The Pre Raphaelite painter Holman Hunt died in 1910, Sonning on Thames, England. |
