The German Northern Renaissance painter Hans Holbein the Elder born Augsburg, Germany, 1460. Almost all of his life he stayed and lived there. Sometimes he traveled and visited other German countries as Munich, Ulm, Frankfurt am Main and several other countries, to worked for the monasteries and churches. Hans Holbein was a great artist of Altars. He left his born city and moved to Eisenheim, where H. Holbein the Elder, the German Northern Renaissance painter died in 1524. |
