Short biography from the Italian Romantic painter Francesco Hayez ( 1791 - 1882 ). |

The Italian Romantic painter Francesco Hayez born in Venice, Italy, 1791. He was the important and leading painter of the Romanticism in the 19th century. From a little boy he had interest for drawing and he worked for a restorer of Art. Later Hayez studied for three years under the painter Francisco Magiotto. In 1806 he went to the Fine Arts New Academy, where he be a pupil of Teodoro Matteini. He also entered the Academy of Venice and the Academia di San Luca in Rome. He moved in 1814 to Naples and he be the director in 1850 from the Academy of Brera. The Italian painter Francesco Hayez died in Milan, Italy, 1882. |
