Short biography from the Dutch painter Dirck Hals.

The Dutch painter Dirck Hals born in 1591, Haarlem, the Netherlands. He was the younger brother of Frans Hals. Probably his brother Frans gave him the first Art lessons, but he was influenced from the painters Willem Buytewech and Esaias van de Velde. From 1627 till his dead he was a member of Guild of Sint Lucas. Till 1634 he worked together with the painter Dirck van Delen. Dirck Hals died in his born city Haarlem, 1656.
