The Dutch Northern Renaissance painter Hugo van der Goes, what we know he born in Ghent. We know a little about the life of the greatest and important Dutch painter of the second part from the fifteenth century. He be graduated in 1467 with the title Master Painter. He closed his studio in 1477 and start to worked in Brussels for the Red Monastery as a lay brother. After several illnesses ( mental depressions) van der Goes died in 1482. |
