Short biography from the Russian painter Pavel Filonov ( 1883 - 1941 ). |

The Russian painter Pavel Filonov aka Pavel Nikolayevich Filonov born in Moscow, 1883. His first study he had on the school Encouragement for the Arts. He had his Master painter diploma in 1901. After Filonov studied in the studio from L. Dmitriev Kavkazsky for nearly 5 years. Sometimes he traveled to Jerusalem, Volga and the Caucasus to made art works from the nature. He followed his study at the Academy in 1908 but he left the Art Academy in 1910. Pavel Filonov went to Italy, France and Austria in 1912. After when he Fought in the war in 1916, he made dozens of art works. Filonov died in 1941. |
