The Russian painter Pavel Fedotov aka Pavel Andreevich Fedotov born in 1815, Moscow, Russia. After graduated from the Cadet school he went to St. Petersburg and served for the Imperial Guards. During his time in the army he had a big interest in drawing and paintings. Fedotov stayed also at the school for Fine arts in the evening time. From 1844 he left the army and start to painted full time. Pavel Fedotov died from mental illness in 1852. |
