The French Early Renaissance painter Jean Fouquet
or Foucquet born in Tours, France ca 1420. We don't know much about him,
we know he stayed in Rome, Italy from 1443 till 1447. When he went back
to France he became a member of the French Court. Fouquet graduated as a
Royal painter in 1475. He was in his time the greatest French painter of
the fifteenth century. Fouquet died in Tours, ca 1481.
