The American Realist painter Thomas Eakins was born in 1844, Philadelphia, US. The First educations he had on the Academy of Fine Arts in his born city. After that in 1866 he moved to France, Paris. He had a study there at Beaux Arts school together with Gerome. Traveled to Seville and Madrid where he inspired of art works from Ribera and Velazquez. Eakins returned in 1870 to the United States. The American painter is one of the greatest artists the US ever know. The Realist painter died in 1916. |
