The Dutch painter Albert Eckhout born in 1610, Groningen, Netherlands. We don't to much about his life. He went to Brazil from 1637 till 1644. A Dutch expedition with other painters as Johan Maurits van Nassau Siegen and Frans Post. He was there a painter in Colonial Dutch Brazil. He painted Brazilian landscapes, fauna and flora and the life style there. Albert Eckhout died in Groningen, 1665. |
