The French Impressionist and Realist painter Edgar Degas
born in 1834, Paris, France. The first study from him was on the school
Louis le Grand, he graduated in 1853. Degas start to painting early,
when he was only 18 he had an own studio in the house of his father.
When Edgar Degas studied drawings at the school Beaux Arts
he met Louis Lamothe and Jean Auguste
Dominique Ingres. In 1856 he moved to Italy for 3 years. Painted there
copies from Titian, Michelangelo, Raphael and some other painters of
Renaissance. Degas art works where accepted in the Salon in 1865. Edgar
Degas, the famous Impressionist painter died in 1917. |
