Short biography of the Italian Renaissance painter Fra Angelico (ca 1400-1455).

The Italian Renaissance painter Fra Angelico, also know as Guido di Pietro born ca 1400 in Vicchio, Tuscany. The teacher of Fra Angelico is unknown. Fra Angelico starts his career as an illuminator of religious and missals books. Then Fra Angelico started paint panels and altarpieces. The Renaissance painter Angelico also painted cloister frescoes. In 1445 Fra Angelico painted frescoes in Rome for the Chapel in the Vatican. In 1447, the Italian Renaissance painter painted the frescoes in Orvieto for the cathedral there. In the Dominican convent, Rome, at 1455 the Italian Renaissance painter Fra Angelico died.
